About the Founder
OPBLOX
- Phillip Wright started OPBLOX in 2025 because he is passionate about partnering with leaders, executing on strategy and developing high performing teams.
- From his 20+ years in management, strategy and operational leadership in banking he possesses a skill set that enables him to bridge the gap between innovation and stability, ensuring rapid growth without compromising compliance or operational integrity.
- He has supported CEOs, business leaders and function heads, through transformation, growth and remediation, during some of the most turbulent markets, with businesses of different sizes at different stages of cycle.
Career History
- He began his career at UBS in 2003, in Corporate Finance and worked supporting the growth of the UK, European and APAC Banking and Capital Markets businesses. During the financial crash Phillip worked in the IB Chief Execs office before spending time in Markets, HR, Compliance and Finance.
- Following this he spent almost 5 years at PJT Partners as the EMEA and APAC COO, supporting the growth of PJT outside the US, onboarding additional bankers, entering new global markets and leading the COVID response.
- Most recently, he was COO for the International Banking business at Wells Fargo during a period of significant organisational transition and risk / control development.
